To the 65% of you that said you'll be serving serving stuffing for Thanksgiving, it was an Evansville Native that actually INVENTED one of America's favorite side dishes! According to Purdue University's Inventors and Innovators, River City Resident Ruth Siems, a 1953 Home Economics Graduate is given first credit as the creator of Stove Top.

In an era when people wanted more convenience and less time spent cooking, Ruth's  ready-made breadcrumb dish in a box was the perfect answer. Not only was it perfect for Thanksgiving but for any other day of the year as well.

With over 60 million boxes sold every year, there's no wonder that's most of you chose Stuffing over dressing! THANKS RUTH!
