EPD Release Name and Photo of May 15th Convenience Store Shooting Suspect
The Evansville Police Department have identified the suspect they believe is responsible for a shooting at the Express Pantry convenience store on North Main Street on May 15th.
Authorities have issued "A Felony Attempted Murder Warrant" for 20-year-old Jalin Thomas Taylor. He's described as a "light skinned black male approximately 5'11 with a thin build and long afro-style hair" who "was last seen driving a silver Chevy passenger car."
On the afternoon of Monday, May 15th, investigators believe Taylor followed a man on a moped to the store at the corner of North Main and East Missouri and opened fire, hitting the victim multiple times according to eyewitness reports. The victim's name has not been released, however his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Police believe Taylor is armed and dangerous, and urge anyone who sees him to not approach him.
