Man, I hate seeing posts like this.

Daviess County Animal Care and Control in Owensboro, KY, posted on Facebook today that two sweet kitties will have to be put down tomorrow if no one adopts them today. They went on to say in the post that they have 250 cats in their care and have no space left to put any more cats. Unfortunately, making room by euthanizing is the only way to make space for more cats that are coming in.

Meet Ziggy and Peanut. The two are only a year old and are friendly, though Ziggy, the Siamese mix needs a home without other cats. There is no fee and you don't even need an adoption application to adopt the boys.

If you are interested please contact the shelter directly at 270-685-8275. LEAVE A MESSAGE IF NO ANSWER. Facebook comments and messages are not seen by the employees.
DCAC also has waived adoption fees for pit mixes in the month of October.
If you are upset that this or any shelter has to euthanize animals, before taking your grievances about the shelter to social media outlets, consider adopting, fostering, volunteering, and having your own pets spayed and neutered and encouraging others to do so as well. Owensboro Humane Society offers a low-cost spay and neuter clinic.
