Coyote Spotted Near Sub-Division in Newburgh!
Here's what you should do!
Over the past month of so, there have been a few coyote spottings near Castle High School. This was a photo taken just before Christmas:
Last night, another listener took video of herself following some coyote tracks outside her home.
A lot of you are probably wondering you can do if you see a coyote or if you are in danger. I talked to John Scott Foster, the former Executive Director for Wesselman Nature Society. He had this to say:
They will eat your cat or rat dog. They will run from you. Don’t feed them. Don’t worry about them. Very very very few incidents of humans being hurt by a healthy one.
Basically, they shouldn't mess with humans, but you might want to make sure your pets are safely in the house at night.
