The other day, a friend and I decided to take a motorcycle ride since the weather was so nice out. We managed to venture across the bridge into Henderson, which we aren't familiar with at all. Around 5 pm we realized that traffic going back into Evansville was most likely going to be a nightmare, so we decided that we would stop somewhere and wait it out. At that time, we just so happen to pass a bar that was hosting a 'Bike Night' so we figured we would check it out.

The typical bar scene seems to get pretty old, really quick, so me and my friends are always looking for somewhere new that has a little bit more of a variety. That being said, Delizio on the Corner may have been one of our best finds so far.

To me, the best part of Delizio's was the environment. It was one of those places where it felt like everyone knew each other, even though we didn't know anyone. My friend Blaik especially like this because he likes to think that he is quite the social butterfly. The owners themselves were even sure to talk to everyone. You would never know that we were two Hoosiers completely out of place.

Being 21 years old, you would think that we would make frequent trips to bars, right? Wrong. Unfortunately the theory that college students are always broke stands true with my friends and I, so when we do go to a bar, they have got to have some good drink specials. So of course we liked the place even more once we found out about bike night, ladies night, AND that 4-6 is happy our EVERYDAY! (And if you like fruity beer, be sure to try the mixture of Leinenkugel Summer Shandy and Angry Orchard Hard Cider - It's awesome!)

On top of everything, the food looked absolutely amazing. Unfortunately for me, summer means dieting, so I kept some self control. But the guy sitting next to me at the bar had a burger made out of a homemade meatball patty with buffalo mozzarella, and it took everything in me not to reach over and steal a bite.

Before, traveling to Henderson seemed too far just to go out for a drink with friends. But I have officially decided that it is worth the short trip.
