I am the proud parent of a 6 year old son and a 4 year old daughter. And like almost every other parent on the planet, I love my kids more than words can say. HOWEVER, there are times when they just make me want to pull every last hair out of my head and ship them off to some 3rd world country.

Also, like so many other parents, there are moments where my kids whine and cry about something that isn't worth whining and crying about and I just want to say "Shut the 'F' UP!" But instead I keep a level head (the best I can anyway), and say something like, "If you don't stop now, I will send you to your room."

Now another parent has finally put what we've all thought into words.

Meet Adam Mansbach, a father and author who has written the book Go the F**k to Sleep. A book that on the cover looks like a children's book, but is written for their parents (as noted on the back cover).

In an article on the Today Moms website, Mansbach says the idea was suggested to him by friends after he posted a humorous tirade on his Facebook page about the frustrations of putting his daughter to bed.

Hopefully, the book is very reflective of what we all feel putting our kids to bed,” Mansbach told TODAY Moms. “We all love our kids – it’s not like we stop loving our kids – but as the minutes tick by, we’ll do anything to get out of that room.

Go the F**k to Sleep won't be available until Oct. 11, but it has already cracked the Top 300 at Amazon.com.
