Tri-State Prepares for Another Arctic Blast

Last weekend was a little crazy. Some forecasters predicted over 21 inches of snow. We didn’t get nearly that much, but it was enough to bring the tri-state to a grinding halt for a couple of days.

Snow plow operators have been hard at work, but clearing roads takes time. Even though the sun came out yesterday and today, temperatures aren’t warm enough to melt all the snow.

Luckily, we will see a balmy high of 30 degrees today. That’s about to change. The National Weather Service warns another Arctic Blast is making its way through the southeast.

What to Expect This Arctic Outbreak

Another Arctic outbreak is forecast from Friday into next weekend. Wind chill values could reach dangerous levels, with a 50-90% chance of subzero wind chills Friday morning and a 50-90% chance of wind chills below -10 degrees Saturday morning. No significant snow is expected this time, but the cold will make it feel miserable.

Arctic Blast Safety Tips
