What is Legal and Illegal to Burn in Your Backyard? [LIST]

It's important to be sure that what you want to burn in your yard is legal before you light that match. Even when a burn ban is not in effect, illegal residential burning can earn a hefty fine. Here's what you need to know.

The Airport Sorgho Fire Department posted a reminder on social media today. "If you have less than one acre of land, and are burning anything other than leaves, you MUST obtain a burn permit. Also, until April 30th, 2020 it is illegal to burn anything within 150 feet of woodlands and brush lands between 6AM and 6PM."
