As I was grabbing a few things at a local store, I noticed this toy gun set on the top shelf. I thought, "Hmmm, that is definitely something I'd never let my child play with."

Now, before I spark a big Second Amendment argument complete with political rants - just know I don't see anything wrong with owning guns and I believe allowing your kids to play with toy weapons is a personal choice. I also take great pride in honoring our military and those who choose the military as a career path.  I just don't think I'd let MY daughter play with an assault rifle, especially since it's the weapon of choice in mass shootings . But, that's just me.

To be fair, this toy was on the top shelf, away from little eyes. It's marketed as a "military play set" and comes with a few other weapons used by military personnel.

So, what do you think? Is it a perfectly acceptable kids toy or should the store consider removing it from the toy section?
