UPDATE: Identity of Sword-Wielding Suspect that Stole Police Cruiser in Warrick County Released [VIDEO]
UPDATE
Sgt. Todd Ringle with the Indiana State Police says the suspect, Nina Adalina Devillez of Santa Claus, was first spotted driving erratically in front of Walmart. When Chandler police attempted to pull him over, he refused to stop. After crashing his vehicle, Devillez reportedly got out and confronted the officer, who then fired his weapon, striking the suspect.
Despite being injured, Devillez managed to steal the officer’s cruiser and led police on a high-speed chase, reaching speeds over 120 miles per hour. He eventually crashed into an open field and took off on foot. Officers were able to tase and detain him. He’s currently being treated at Owensboro Health Hospital.

Suspect Steals Police Cruiser
That's when I opened up my Facebook app, and the first thing that was there to greet me was a video taken by Brian Richardson in the Community of Chandler Facebook group.
It showed a standoff between police and a suspect wearing a motorcycle helmet and carrying a sword. The person then steals the officer's SUV and took off toward Boonville.
A wild ride, for sure.
