California Governor Jerry Brown signed a law Sunday banning the use of tanning beds for people under the age of 18.

The Governot's office claims the ban of tanning beds for minors was to "improve the health and well-being of Californians."  Current law in California forbids anyone under the age of 14 to use a tanning bed, with children ages 14-18 allowed to with parental consent.  The new law becomes effective 1/1/12.

Do you think this a good rule, or too strict on teenage girls?
