The "Selfie" has become part of our culture. On vacation? Take a selfie at the beach to rub it in everyone's faces. Out with friends? Take a selfie to show how much fun you had (or help you remember what happened). Voting? Depending on where you live, you may want to hold off on that selfie, or it could get you in trouble.

If this doesn't sum up the era we live in, nothing does.

Pope Francis is hip to the trends of our time.

Might this mark the moment when everyone in the world decided to put their phones down and stop taking selfies?

Because the Selfie was sooooo 2014.

In honor of #SelfieSunday, I have put together 4 of my favorites from the last couple of weeks.

I had such a great time at Animalpalooza last weekend! There were so many wonderful people who came out to support the animals of the Tristate and I snapped some selfies with some of them!

This woman's love for herself is truly skin deep. In the perfect marriage of permanence and vanity, this woman got a tattoo of herself taking a selfie.

All of these people who insist on taking selfies need a good swift kick in the tush. Or head, whichever.

This week's pop music trend or epidemic, of sorts? Wisdom teeth removal. Ariana Grande got one of hers yanked earlier this week and now Lady Gaga is recovering from the same procedure, which isn't major. It's more of an annoyance than anything.
