Hockey has been gaining popularity across the nation over the past several years, including here in the Tri-State thanks to professional hockey being played at the Ford Center, and now Swonder is giving young kids who show an interest in the sport the opportunity to try it for free on Saturday, March 3rd!

"Try Hockey for Free" is a nationwide campaign hosted by USA Hockey to give kids between the ages of 4 and 9 the opportunity to see if they really would enjoy playing by letting them suit up in full uniform (pads, jersey, pants, gloves, etc.) and getting on the ice to smack a few pucks around.

Registration for the event can be done online through the Try Hockey for Free website. Sign-in at Swonder begins at 1:30 p.m. on the 3rd, followed by equipment fitting, before letting the kids take the ice from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
