Summertime means a break from the classroom for children across the Tri-State, however for some it means getting the food and nutrition they need on a daily basis is a struggle. Fortunately, Boonville's Studio Bee is stepping up to help provide those kids and their families good meals throughout the summer for free.

Located on Flint Street behind Richard's Pool, Studio Bee is a non-profit Youth Center operated by Gospel Express Ministries (GEM) to provide "a safe and fun environment that promotes positive growth and development," as well as "educational instruction and enrichment" to those in need.

The meal program is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays through June and July, and will offer breakfast from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m., as well as lunch from 11:00 - 12:30 p.m.

Kids 18 and under eat for free while adults 18 and over can enjoy the same meals for only $1.50 for breakfast, and $2.00 for lunch.

The meal program is open to the public both in and around Warrick County, regardless of household income.
