You may or may not remember John Parr, but I bet you've at least heard his one lone hit at some point in your life. It was featured in the 1985 movie of the same name - St. Elmo's Fire. If you don't remember the movie itself, let me fill you in from the IMDb page:

A Group of friends, just out of college, struggle with adulthood. Their main problem is that they're all self-centered and obnoxious.

Sounds about right. Right? Well, the song that shared that title was a big hit, in large part, thanks to that movie. Like I said before... you may not remember John Parr.
