One Direction reunion or not, Niall Horan's ready to take next year by storm.

Horan, who released his first solo single "This Town" in September, told James Corden on The Late Late Show on Wednesday (October 26) that he's hard at work on his one-man LP. And fans need only wait a few months longer to get their hands on his debut project.

"I've written all the songs, I've only recently gotten a producer to do the whole thing so all next month I'm gonna be locked in a studio, starting from scratch, recording vocals, guitars, all the rest and then hopefully I'll be bringing it out early summer next year," he said.

Horan added that working by himself instead of alongside bandmates has been a bit of an adjustment, but added it has its perks (more room on interview couches, for starters!).

"It's obviously different, but it's been good so far," he said. "I've been enjoying it."

That said, Horan and his fellow One-Directioners are still very much in support of each other's personal pursuits, even if they're not publicly acknowledging each individual triumph.

"If the public see that they don't tweet me or something they'll go 'Oh, they're not supporting him!'" he joked. "They didn't publicly think he was brilliant!' But yeah, everyone's been great."

So great, in fact, that in a subsequent game of Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts, Horan chose to feast on a thick salmon smoothie instead of honestly cop to his least favorite fellow member of One Direction. Brotherhood! Watch Niall Horan's Late Late Show appearance above.
