NBC’s ‘Believe': Watch the First Two Minutes of ‘Gravity’ Director Alfonso Cuaron and J.J. Abrams’ Latest
It can be hard these days for pilots to stand out among the crowd without some kind of established brand in place, but in the case of 'Gravity' Oscar-winner Alfonso Cuaron and Bad Robot's new NBC series drama 'Believe,' that won't be an issue. Watch the incredible first two minutes of the new sci-fi drama, 'Believe,' right here!
Helmed by Cuaron and starring ‘Twin Peaks” Kyle MacLachlan, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Jamie Chung and Johnny Sequoyah, ‘Believe’ tells a story about a gifted young girl and a man sprung from prison who has been tasked with protecting her from the evil elements that hunt her power.
Normally, such a generic-sounding story might not catch our attention, but the two-minute opening sequence certainly earns points for its direction, taking place almost entirely in a solitary shot through a a tense car crash, feeling almost like a video game cutscene for its point of view and fluidity. Not to mention, apart from all the Cuaron hype of the promo, the twists taken by the footage feel exceptionally dark for an NBC series, so it's well worth a look.
From NBC’s official description:
