Meet Real-Life Reindeer at Snowman’s Farm in Illinois
Christmas will be here soon, but for Snowman's Reindeer Farm in Illinois, 'tis the season year 'round!
The Snowman's opened their Canton, Illinois farm in 2015 after struggling to find source material for a Christmas book they were illustrating. Scott Snowman jokingly told his wife, Tracy, they should get their own reindeer so they could have access to them whenever they needed. Obviously, that light-hearted comment became a reality, and now you and your family can get up close and personal with these amazing creatures.
The farm will open to visitors this weekend (November 18th, 2017), and will be open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through Christmas Eve. In addition to meeting and taking selfies with the reindeer, Snowman Reindeer Farm also offers indoor activities including Corn Hole, Antler Toss, Holiday Bingo, Jingle Bell Bucket Toss, Board Games, and more, as well as a gift store featuring books and ornaments for purchase.
Now then, Canton, Illinois is a bit of a haul from Evansville. A five hour haul to be exact, but how many chances are you going to get to see a real-life reindeer? A five hour drive certainly seems worth it.
