Macklemore could have lost his life last week after he got into a head-on car crash with an alleged drunk driver, but fortunately, he survived the traumatizing incident. According to TMZ, the Grammy Award-winning rapper got into the accident around 11 p.m. local time in Langley, Washington, where the pickup driver headed into oncoming traffic before colliding with Macklemore's Mercedes.

The outlet reports the driver of the other vehicle rounded a bend before he drove into oncoming traffic. He was reportedly not wearing his seatbelt, leading him to smash his head into his windshield. He was left unconscious and bleeding at the scene, and later told authorities that he had a drink "awhile back," claiming that it was around 5 p.m. earlier in the day.

The "Downtown" MC reportedly had two passengers in his car as well, with one person treated for a minor cut on their head. Fortunately, Macklemore and both passengers were able to walk away from the crash, while the pickup driver was taken to a hospital. Authorities say he will be charged with DUI.

We're sure fans are relieved to hear Macklemore survived the crash safe and sound, but we know he's probably shaken up from the incident.

The rapper dropped a new song called "Glorious" earlier this year, and is slated to release a new album soon. Listen to his latest song "Marmalade" with Lil Yachty.
