‘Lion King,’ ‘Aladdin’ Casts Have Epic Airport Sing-Off
This might be the best way to kill time when your flight is delayed.
A whole slew of flights were delayed because of bad weather last Sunday at New York's LaGuardia Airport, so the casts of Broadway's The Lion King and Aladdin -- which were headed to Orlando for a gig -- did the only thing seasoned and talented performers do when faced with a lot of down time: they had a sing-off.
This certainly beats reading a book, answering emails or eating overpriced airport food when your flight gets delayed, don't you think? Of course, they probably drowned out any gate announcements, but, really, who cares? This was just too awesome. Then again, the cast of The Lion King has some experience in things like this.
About the only way stranded and weary travelers could've possibly been more surprised by an impromptu concert would've been if they received free pizza.
