In 1984, when Vince McMahon approached Macho Man Randy Savage about joining World Wrestling Entertainment, Randy was freshly newlywed to his one and only Miss Elizabeth Hulette. The happy couple met while working at a gym in Lexington, KY, and were married in her mother's backyard in Frankfort, KY.

Miss Elizabeth had also been an announcer for International Championship Wrestling matches, so Randy tried to get her on with the WWE as a commentator. McMahon had other plans. She became Macho Man's manager and love interest who kept the drama going with pretend love triangles and all kinds of shenanigans.

As far as women in wrestling go, Miss Elizabeth was a trailblazer and an icon before her time. She was and still is loved by fans across the globe. I remember thinking she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen! So classy with her hair, makeup up and gowns, always looking so perfect. Known as "The First Lady of Wrestling," she is now being honored by the Capital City Museum in Frankfort for her contributions to the wild world of wrestling and entertainment.

According to a post on their Facebook page, The Capital City Museum acquired items from Miss Elizabeth's late mother. "The exhibit is framed as an homage to Liz's time in Frankfort & her ongoing influence on the world of professional wrestling. We've worked with folks who knew her, folks who loved her, and have treated everything with respect and kindness." There is a whole room dedicated to her on the second floor of the building.

The Museum hours are Mondays-Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM, and admission is free. Organizers have also planned drive-in watch parties in the parking lot for fans who want to re-live Miss Elizabeth's most iconic television moments. Throughout the month of April, you can go and browse the Lovely Miss Elizabeth exhibit and then enjoy her on the big screen. Here are the dates:
