Then later—after your belly is full, football is on, and the house smells like pumpkin pie—that’s when the real decorating begins. It’s warm, it’s relaxed, it’s tradition. And honestly, it’s perfect every year.

And if halfway through decorating I get tired or overwhelmed? Easy fix. I plop down, grab some leftovers, and turn on 'Planes, Trains, and Automobiles'. Because if that movie doesn’t scream Thanksgiving comfort, nothing does.

These traditions might be quirky, but they’re mine—and I wouldn’t change a single one.
