Okay, so all weekend long I was dealing with the world’s most annoying hangnail and of course, that’s exactly when I misplaced my nail clippers. Nothing ruins a weekend faster than your toenail snagging on everything you walk past. Absolute nightmare.

But I came into work Monday with hope, because I knew Bobby owned a pair of nail clippers. I didn’t know where he kept them… but I knew he had them.

Bobby's Pocket Essientials: A Plot Twist

So the first thing I do when I walk in is ask, “Hey, do you have your nail clippers?” And without skipping a beat, he reaches into his pants pocket and pulls them out. Like it’s totally normal.

I stared at him and said, “Wait—did you just pull those out of your pocket?”

He just nods and goes, “Yep. I keep my nail clippers and cherry Chapstick with me everywhere I go.” Keep in mind he was very specific on the flavor of the Chapstick might I add.

So apparently, no matter where Bobby goes...grocery store, work, probably even a wedding—he’s got two things in his pocket: nail clippers and cherry Chapstick. It was a little weird to me at first… but honestly? It also kind of makes sense.

And that immediately got me thinking: what are my must-have items? For women it’s a little different since we usually have a purse, but even then, some things never leave my side.

My Everyday Must Haves

For me, the list starts with a ponytail (hair tie). I can’t leave the house without one because 9 times out of 10, that hair is going up.

Next are my glasses. Contacts and I do not get along, so my glasses are either on my face or in my purse, no exceptions.

Then there’s my pride and joy: my “emotional support water bottle.”
It’s a 40-ounce Stanley filled with iced water because you never know when thirst will strike—and let’s be real, I’m thirsty constantly.

And of course, the essentials: wallet, phone, keys. Sometimes they’re in my purse, sometimes they’re shoved in my pockets if I don’t feel like carrying a bag.

But now I’m curious…
