Where Kids Can Find FREE Breakfast and Lunch in Evansville This Summer
Summer break might be a slightly stressful time for parents, but I think it’s universally loved by the students. It’s a chance to catch up on sleep, relax, play, and recharge before school starts back up in August. But summer can be a challenge for families who count on school meals during the year.
EVSC Summer Nutrition Program Returns For 2026
The good news is that the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation (EVSC) is stepping up again in 2026 to make sure no child goes hungry this summer. Their Summer Nutrition Program is back and will hopefully make life a little easier for families throughout the community.
Who Can Receive Free Summer Meals
Free breakfast and lunch will be available every weekday at 12 locations around Evansville, and it’s open to anyone 18 or younger. Let me repeat that part, and make it perfectly clear – you do NOT have to attend that school, or even be an EVSC student. Just show up and enjoy a nutritious meal, no questions asked!
