I-69 Corridor Connecting Evansville to Indianapolis Finally Complete

With the completion of the I-69 corridor between Evansville and Indianapolis this week, you can now drive a continuous route from Evansville to the US-Canadian border in Michigan.

The Finish Line Project Is Finally Complete

The stretch of I-69 between Indianapolis and Evansville spans 142 seamless miles. The project, known as the Finish Line Project began in Martinsville, Indiana back in 2019. Now that it's complete, I-69 connects Evansville to the US-Canadian border in Port Huron, Michigan.

Part of the project includes a new interchange at I-69 and I-465 with two flyover ramps, according to WTHI-TV.

I-465 Still Under Construction

While the southbound I-60 ramps to and from I-465 east and west are now open, the I-69 northbound ramps at I-465 east and west are expected to open sometime after Friday, August 9, 2024. However, drivers should still practice caution near I-465 as it is still am active construction zone with temporary lane closures and reduced speeds.
