Commemorative Air Force AirPower History Tour Coming to Evansville
The Commemorative Air Force AirPower History Tour is coming to Evansville, Indiana, featuring a number of World War II fighter planes including the B-29 Superfortress and P-51 Mustang.
The B-29 Superfortress "Fifi"
The B-29 Superfortress, known as "the most advanced bomber of World War II," has been credited as the aircraft responsible for bringing an end to World War II. The B-29 Superfortress was designed to not only fly faster but also higher than the enemy's planes.

AT-6 Texan
The T-6 Texan was the plane used to train World War II pilots how to fly.
The AT-6 (Advanced Trainer) later renamed the T-6 was a flying classroom for pilots in World War II and beyond into the 1970s. A step-up from basic trainers, the T-6 is an agile and nimble aircraft that taught generations of pilots advanced tactics and flight maneuvers
PT-13 Stearman
Unlike the other aircrafts available to take a flight in, the PT-13 Stearman has an open-cockpit making it an incredibly unique experience.
The PT-13 trained more pilots to fly than any other aircraft during World War II.
RC-45J SNB - Big Oily Beast (BOB)
The C-45 is the military version of a civilian plane known as a Beechcraft Model 18. The RC-45 model actually has windows in the floor.
C-45s were used during World War II as a multi-engine trainer, for light cargo transport, and general transportation duties such as a VIP transport.
P-51 Mustang - Gunfighter
The P-51 Mustang was pivotal in military history. They were fast and agile, and described as "one of the greatest aircraft of all time."
How Much Does It Cost to Attend the Commemorative Air Force AirPower History Tour?
Admission to the event itself is rather affordable at just $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 10 through 17, with kids under 10 admitted free. Admission can be purchased on the day of the event.
How Much to Fly at the Commemorative Air Force AirPower History Tour ?
If you would like to have a flight experience the prices appear to start right around $375 and then go up from there depending on which aircraft you would like to fly in.
