Wrestling fans will want to attend a convention in Evansville that will feature some big names in the business.

Professional wrestling has a rich history in Evansville, Indiana. The Veterans Memorial Coliseum has seen some of the biggest names in wrestling history step into the squared circle for the Memphis territory of wrestling. Evansville was the "Wednesday night town" for Memphis wrestling. I'm talking about names like Jerry "The King" Lawler, Andre The Giant, Macho Man Randy Savage, and even Stone Cold Steve Austin have all wrestled in the Coliseum. Now, you have a chance to relive some of that history with a new convention coming to town that wrestling fans won't want to miss.

Wrestling Legends Reunion & Jerry "The King" Lawler Celebration

Friday's events will feature a one-of-a-kind show dedicated to Jerry Lawler and Friends. Saturday will be another big day for fans that will include photos, Q&A, Podcasts, autographs, collectibles, and up close moments with all your favorites. Plus, there will be a women's wrestling show on Saturday night that will change the face of women's wrestling!

Who Will Be Coming to Evansville?

The Wrestling Legends Reunion & Jerry "The King" Lawler Celebration has already announced some big names coming to Evansville. Of course, this event will feature "The King" himself, Jerry Lawler, but there have been several names from wrestling history that have also been added to the lineup. You can check those out in the posts below:

That's already one heck of a lineup! More guests could still be added closer to the show. This will be the last wrestling reunion of its kind to ever be held in Evansville, Indiana, and the FINAL time any of these men will ever be in Evansville again. So make the most of it! Plus, we can't forget about the all women's wrestling show from Hooligan Championship Wrestling on Saturday, May 11th too.

As a die-hard fan of professional wrestling, you can bet that I will be attending this historic event that weekend. Don't miss out on your chance to go too! Get your tickets right now for this amazing weekend of wrestling events by clicking here.

Wrestling Matches That Could Win A Gold Medal If Professional Wresting Were An Olympic Sport

I belelive that these are some of the best matches of all time. No gimmicks, just a good old fashioned match that told a great story and left the crowd in awe of what they just witnessed.

See How Downtown Evansville Has Changed Over the Years

I find looking back on the way things used to be fascinating. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I'm living through the current time period. The conveniences of answering any question we have in seconds, or ordering practically anything we want or need and having it delivered to our doorstep is pretty sweet. But, there is something fun about seeing how things around us have evolved. As an Evansville native, and spending quite a bit of my time in downtown Evansville (that's where the station is located), I've always appreciated the older architecture of the buildings around the area. So, I dug into the Willard Library Archives to see how a few of those areas look now compared to then. Some have changed a little, others quite a bit, and a few don't even exist any more. Take a look.
