Whether you're looking for a night on the town or simply want to enjoy a nice dinner with your significant other, these are the best places to eat around Evansville, according to Yelp.

Evansville has been called many names, but "food desert" has never been one of them. Thankfully, here in Southern Indiana, we're blessed with an abundance of food options. Each one is just as diverse as the next, so no matter what you're in the mood for, chances are you can find it in or around Evansville. If you need some help, Yelp has compiled a list of the best new restaurants in the area based on user reviews.

If you're unfamiliar with Yelp and how it works, here's a quick rundown. The platform helps people discover, review, and connect with local businesses—not just food spots. According to Reputation X, these reviews can have a tremendous impact on businesses, especially in the hospitality, retail, and service industries. In fact, on average, each additional one-star Yelp rating causes a 9% increase in business revenue.

While I can't claim I've been to all of the "hip" new restaurants in our area, after reading several reviews, I may just have to make a few of these a priority. Below, you'll see a list of Yelp's 10 best new and hip restaurants in the tri-state as of December 18, 2024. However, keep in mind that the rankings are always changing, so just because you don't see your favorite new spot on the list, doesn't mean it won't be there in the future. Happy dinner planning!
