Is There Going To Be A Sweet Home Alabama Sequel?

Sweet Home Alabama is one of those movies that you can sit down and watch over and over and it never gets old. Where the right guy gets the girl and you swoon chin in hand dreaming as a teen girl of finding a guy like Josh Lucas or hey maybe your type is Mr. McDreamy Patrick Dempsey.

This romantic comedy if you somehow missed it begins with two kids in love on a beach (they're like 10) waiting for lighting to strike the sand to see what it does and one of them makes the promise that they will get married one day. Fast forward to the present time in the movie and Melanie (Reese Witherspoon) has moved away from this tiny town to New York City where she is has made a successful life in fashion. She gets engaged to the Mayor of New York's son and has to return home to tie up some lose ends.

What you don't know is she is married to Josh Lucas' character and she has to get him to sign divorce papers. The scenes that play out are hilariously funny and you find yourself rooting for the underdog.

So the big question on a lot of people's minds "Will they be making a sequel to the first movie?"

What it boils down to according to Josh is Reese! Most of the other key players in the movie have said they would love to make a sequel. I say we start a petition.
