If the TV Show ‘White Lotus’ Was Set in Nashville, the Guests Would Stay at This Hotel

My obsession with the TV show White Lotus only grows stronger each season. It is such a perfect combination of drama, comedy, and occasional moments of downright thriller action. Sometimes, I swear my blood pressure goes haywire worrying about my favorite characters. Here is the preview for the current storyline.

Speaking of favorite characters, it is hard to choose, but this season Parker Posey's Victoria Ratliff is at the top of the list. Her waspy Southern drawl is E V E R Y T H I N G. The internet is raving about how she says her daughter's name, "Piper, nooooooo" and the word "Buuuuuddhism." Her portrayal is SPOT ON for that country club wife and mama we all know, except for one thing. The real-life version would never call her Lorazepam prescription by its full government name. Those are just her "nerve pills," honey!

So fabulous! Every Sunday night, I am excited for a new episode. Now on season three, the story is set at a resort hotel in Thailand. Seasons past were in other exotic environments like Maui, Hawaii, and Sicily, Italy. I think it is time to move the drama to a more landlocked locale.

The other night, while I watching, I started thinking. What if White Lotus were to take place in Nashville? I immediately pictured these characters in the lush interior gardens of the Gaylord Opryland Resort.

The storyline of each season takes place over the course of a week. If the show were set in Music City, there could be all kinds of drama with country music stars at the Grand Ole Opry. The guests could get into sticky situations while out at honky tonks or concerts. The tense moments that could occur while on the gondola touring around the interior gardens in the atrium.

The Gaylord Opryland Hotel has a spa, nineteen restaurants and bars for the different character groups to chat about whatever crazy scenario happened earlier in the episode. Or maybe one of those groups is at the resort-style hotel for a wedding in one of the beautiful ballrooms. Maybe someone does something wild at the indoor waterpark. The options are endless!
