Our third annual St. Jude Radiothon begins today as we look for you to join us in helping St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee continue their ground-breaking research and treatment of childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases by becoming a Partner in Hope. But what does that mean?

Becoming a St. Jude Partner in Hope means that you are committing a small amount of your income each month to help fund doctors from around the world who have come to St. Jude with one common goal — end all varieties childhood cancer. A fight they have continued for over 50 years.

In those 50-plus years, tremendous strides have been made against several forms of childhood cancer including the most common form, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, more commonly known as ALL, a cancer of the blood. Before St. Jude opened their doors, the survival rate for children diagnosed with ALL was in the single digits. Today, 94% of children diagnosed not only survive their diagnosis, but grow up to be adults with children of their own.

St. Jude's ability to increase those survival rates comes from research and the development of new treatment plans funded by people like you and me who make the commitment to join the fight by becoming Partners in Hope with a monthly donation of $20.

Becoming a Partner is easy. You can call 1-800-942-8731 between 6am-7pm today and tomorrow, or you can make the commitment online through the secure St. Jude website. Everyone who makes the commitment during this year's Radiothon will receive a free St. Jude t-shirt as a sign of our gratitude for your desire to make sure every child has the opportunity at living a fulfilling life.
