I'm hesitant to tell you about this spot because I don't want the locals in this town to get mad at me. Unfortunately, the reviews alone make this too good not to share.

You're going to get a visual of why you'll be adding this Arlington Heights diner to your "must visit" list but, first, you need to know where you're headed.

The reviews for Mr. Allison's Restaurant, at 1711 E Central Rd., are as close to 5 stars as you're going to find. Out of 100 of the most recent reviews, only 6 were three stars or less. Of those reviews, most of them were poorly written or complained about something irrelevant.

Not every restaurant is on their game every second they are open but if 90% of your reviews are exceptional then they must be doing something right.
