Henderson Co. Public Library Offering Interactive Murder Mysteries, Free Eclipse Glasses, and Even a Family Dance this Spring
Part of my job is scrolling Facebook and finding local things to write about. One account that always catches my eye is the really amazing programming that Henderson County Library offers to residents FREE OF CHARGE!
So, let's dive in and take a look!
FREE ECLIPSE GLASSES
The solar eclipse is just around the corner! The library wants all their patrons to be equipped with the proper protective lenses for eclipse viewing so they are offering FREE solar eclipse glasses the week of March 25th to every library card holder!
LETHAL LIBRARY
If you love true crime, Henderson Co. Public Library has the program for you! Meet up at the HCPL every first Monday of the month at 6 PM to explore all things murder and mayhem! Every month will be something different from listening to podcasts, playing crime-centric games, discussing true crime cases, watching movies, and more.
*This program is for adults. Materials viewed and discussed may contain violence, gore, and explicit content.
'HOW TO' DAY
Learn something new at "How-To Day" at the HCPL. Explore a diverse range of topics presented by experts eager to share their knowledge. From 9:30am to 3:45pm, on March 23rd, immerse yourself in enlightening sessions designed to empower and educate. Topics could include: medicare, geneology, chickens, beekeeping, meal prep, vacation planning, dream homes, preservation, self-defense, and more.
TALL AND SMALL FAMILY BALL
Step into a world of family fun at the library's Tall & Small Family Ball on Wednesday, April 3rd from 5:30-7:30 PM! Dads, daughters, moms, sons, grandparents - all are welcome to a magical evening. Wear your finest attire and dancing shoes for a fun night. There will be a photobooth, light refreshments, and dancing! Plus, get ready for a special surprise appearance by a beloved Red & Blue Pups! Don't miss out on this unforgettable event! Registration is not required, but encouraged! All children must be accompanied by an adult.
