One of the best events you'll see all year happens Saturday night when local cops and firefighters ditch the badges and uniforms in exchange for boxing gloves to help raise money for 911 Gives Hope, and of course bragging rights.

If you've never been to Guns and Hoses, do yourself a favor and make a point to attend. You don't even have to be a boxing fan to enjoy it. The night consists of 15 fights, each comprised of three, one minute rounds, meaning there's no time to dance around and size up your opponent. It's punched or be punched.

But there's so much more to it than the fights, there's the spectacle of the entire event. Each fighter enters the ring to a theme song of his or her choosing, the video boards above the ring and around the arena flash with colorful graphics and pictures of the fighters making their way to the ring. It's a full on production, and it's awesome.

Tickets for the event are still available at the Ford Center box office, and online through Ticketmaster. Not only will you get a phenomenal night of entertainment, you're helping out a great cause in 911 Gives Hope. Be there!
