Yesterday was pretty awesome. I got to hang out with some hardcore WWE fans at Cricket Wireless early in the afternoon (and I got to meet Dean Ambrose) and then I got to spend my evening watching the best WWE superstars settle scores inside the squared circle.

Also, sidenote: I got really excited because my picture with Dean Ambrose from earlier in the day was on the big screen a few times. Because I'm a narcissus, I took a picture of my picture.

The event wasn't televised so I knew going in that no big title changes would be taking place or anything like that. The night started off with a match between Tyler Breeze and AJ Styles. Although just recently signed by WWE, I've been enjoying his work in different organizations for many years. The opening contest was decent although I was disappointed that Styles didn't do his normal finisher and instead won by submission

The next few contests were standard house show affairs with Sin Cara taking on Stardust, Baron Corbin taking on Zak Ryder (YAY!), and R-Truth battling Adam Rose. These matches were perfectly fine for what they were. This is the only part of the show that I really noticed how many people are currently injured on the roster. Normally, a lot of these dudes would have been in tag matches and not given as much time.

Kalisto vs Alverto Del Rio was a fun match for the US title. both of these gyus have wrestled quite a bit the past couple of months so they know each other well. Evansville got to see some decent lucha libre style wrestling and Kalisto was definitely a fan favorite with the crowd.

After intermission, we got the Divas match of the night. Tamina and Naomi took on Summer Rae and Sasha Banks in a tag match. This match wasn't good. I'm not just saying that because it was a Divas match and I'm a sexist douche, it just wasn't a good match. Thankfully, it didn't last very long.

Sheamus and Mark Henry had a pretty physical match. I'm always impressed with two big guys go into a match and just stomp each other senseless for 15 minutes. After this match, it was time for the main event!

The Main Event was Dean Ambrose VS Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Championship. The match was billed as a Street Fight but it ended up being a regular match. That was a tad disappointing but I got over it. The match was a lot of fun and I'm a huge fan of both dudes (I'm a bigger Kevin Owens fan though). In the end, Dean Ambrose won by DQ which means he won but didn't win the title. Kevin Owens took the mic after the match and insulted the crowd (including a kid who spelled an anti-Kevin Owens sign wrong) and that gave Ambrose time to recover and hit his finisher on Owens. The crowd cheered and everyone went home happy.

I had a really good time at this event. I was disappointed that The New Day didn't wrestle and some other stars weren't able to make it but overall the show was fun and I'd recommend checking out the WWE whenever they are nearby.
