‘Game of Thrones’ Finally Has Its Own Wine to Drink, And Know Things With
Game of Thrones has long had its own line of beers for fans to celebrate with, and it seems crazier than a Mad King to be without an official wine. No longer, as a Santa Rosa winery will bring us three different varieties for every generation of Lannister to poison themselves with, some more quickly than others.
Per Entertainment Weekly, Vintage Wine Estates has officially partnered with HBO to create a “proprietary red blend” retailing for $19.99, along with a Cabernet Sauvignon at $39.99, and a chardonnay back at $19.99. Sadly, purchases do not include a terrified servant ready to refill your glass at a moment’s notice.
Says HBO of the obvious addition to its alcoholic merchandise:
Given the prominent role of wine on Game of Thrones and our previous success in the beverage category, an officially licensed wine for the show feels like a natural extension for our fans. Game of Thrones wines most definitely will add to the fan experience as the battle for the Iron Throne heats up heading into the final seasons.
