Fuel Up and Support National Guard Families This Friday in Evansville
Show your support to the families of National Guard men and women this Friday by simply topping off your gas tank!
From Noon to 5:00 p.m., Superior Ag will host "Fueling Freedom" at both the Country Mark gas station at St. Joe and Mill Road, and Busler's at St. Joe and Diamond Avenue. 50 cents from every gallon of gas sold during that time will go directly to "local National Guard Family Readiness Groups," according to a press release from the company. Plus, both locations will have the opportunity to win a $150 gas card.
The National Guard's Family Readiness program was created by the Department of Defense to help families of service members "prepare for separations during short and long term deployments" through education and support services. The program also hosts "families summer picnics, Christmas parties, (and) after-school programs, as well as sends packages to deployed local soldiers" through funds raised.
