Spring clean up is set to be conducted in the City of Owensboro. It's for larger items that won't fit into your garbage bins. Take a look at the schedule and what CAN & CAN'T be put curbside for FREE during collection days.

Do you have some larger items that just won't fit into your toter? The City of Owensboro is providing a service to help with your neighborhood alliance. If you have some older furniture, appliances, toilets, carpets, mattresses or any bulky items that are on the "approved" list, this is the time to take care of business.

First up is the Wesleyan-Shawnee Alliance on Saturday, March 20th, 2021 from 6A-11A. The Dogwood Azalea Alliance clean up will take place on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 from 6A-11A. You will need to call City Action at (270) 687-4444 if you have larger items to be removed. This is a FREE service provided to Owensboro city residents.

All residents in the cleanup area are encouraged to help beautify the neighborhood by picking up litter along sidewalks and streets on their scheduled cleanup day.

Place items curbside by the Friday night prior to your scheduled cleanup. If you have large items, please call CityAction at 270-687-4444 or e-mail cityaction@owensboro.org to schedule pick-up. Smaller items must be bagged or boxed. The sanitation crews CANNOT pick up construction debris/materials, yard waste, dirt, paint, or any type of liquid.
