Stretch those legs, and enjoy a run (or jog, or walk) around the EVSC's New Tech Institute campus during their "Pi K" family fun run Saturday morning!

The "Pi K" is a fun twist on the standard 5K in that the course is 3.14 miles, a.k.a. the widely recognized value of the mathematical constant. The course will wind its way around campus, and will feature several "STEM Stops" (STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) hosted by New Tech students where participants can learn more about each division of STEM.

Registration is available online for $20 for adults and $10 for kids. Late registration will also be available the morning of the event with packet pickup set for 8:00-9:15 a.m., followed by a flag presentation by the Boy Scouts, the National Guard firing a Howitzer Cannon, and the singing of the National Anthem from 9:15 to 9:25. The actual walk is set for a 9:30 a.m. start time.

Stick around immediately following the walk for STEM Fest inside the New Tech building from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. featuring over 20 activity booths spotlighting the various areas of STEM from St. Vincent Healthcare, USI, University of Evansville, Harrison College, Monsanto, Wesselman Woods, the Evansville Museum, and more.

STEM Fest is open to public and free to attend.
