Rock that mic and you could win cash prizes!

The annual 'Rap for Roots' campaign with Keep Evansville Beautiful and 106-1 KISS-FM gives Evansville area middle school, high school, and college students the opportunity to show off their creativity by submitting video featuring a rap song, parody song, or comedic skit about the environment based on one of the following topics:

  • Through the Eyes of a Tree
  • Nature at Night
  • Recycle, Reduce, Reuse

Camera shy? You can also enter a poem based on one of these topics for consideration. Photography submissions are also being accepted using the topic, "My Favorite Tree".

Open to students 13 years of age or older, those interested in participating can enter either individually or as a group using the form below between now and October 24th. Keep Evansville Beautiful will decide on three finalists which we will post here on Monday, October 28th. The public will vote on the entry they like the best with the winner being announce during a ceremony at the C.K. Newsome Center on Thursday, November 7th from 5:00-6:30pm which will include a performance from the Boom Squad at 5:30.
