One of the biggest fears for women when we go out is that someone will slip something into our drink. The DrinkSavvy Cup could act as a warning to prevent consumption of a contaminated drink.

I have to say that I think this is a genius invention idea. The premise is that there are "sensors" that can detect levels of GHB, the main component in The Date Rape Drug. When the sensors come in contact with the chemical, they change colors giving you the heads-up that your drink is no longer safe to drink.

From the DrinkSavvy Website:

Once a rape drug is slipped into your drink, it becomes odorless, colorless, and tasteless. It becomes invisible. Ingesting the drug causes unconsciousness and memory loss, making the victim defenseless against sexual assault. The most well known defense today is 100% constant all night vigilance over your drink, which becomes more and more impossible as the night goes on.
