Dense Fog Advisory For Evansville and The Tri-State
The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for Evansville and the surrounding area until 9am this morning.
Here is the alert issued this morning by the National Weather Service:
"..DENSE FOG ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING...
* VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE-QUARTER
MILE IN AREAS ALONG AND NORTH OF A LINE FROM NEW MADRIDONE-QUARTER
O DIXON KENTUCKY TO BOONVILLE INDIANA. CONDITIONS WILL IMPROVE
AFTER DAYBREAK.
* IMPACTS...THE DENSE FOG WILL CAUSE POOR DRIVING CONDITIONS
THROUGH MUCH OF THE NIGHT.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE
REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE. IF DRIVING...SLOW DOWN...
USE YOUR LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS...AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD
OF YOU"
