Crossroads Church and EPD Collecting Supplies for Hurricane Irma Relief
Crossroads Christian Church and the Evansville Police Department are teaming up once again to send volunteers and supplies to hurricane-stricken areas after the devastation of Hurricane Irma, and they need your help.
It's been nearly two weeks since Irma slammed into nearly the entire state of Florida. Although the water may be gone, there's still months, if not year's, worth of work to do to get cities and towns across the state back to where they were before Irma's wrath. The city of Jacksonville in the northeastern coast of the state was particularly hard hit with many homes destroyed, and families with no where to go.
This week and next Crossroads and the EPD will be headed to Jacksonville to help the relief and rebuilding effort, and are asking Tri-State residents for supplies to take with them for the families who need them. The EPD posted the list of items they need on their Facebook page Thursday afternoon.
All donations can be dropped off at the main entrance of the Crossroads Newburgh Campus located at 10800 Outer Lincoln Avenue.
Monetary donations in the form of cash or checks are also being accepted. As the post above notes, all checks may be made payable to “Crossroads Christian Church” referencing “Hurricane Irma” in the memo line.
