Catch Christmas Movies at This KY Drive-In Theater All Through November

I love going to the drive-in. There's nothing like watching a movie under the stars and enjoying snacks--or even dinner--from the concession stand; drive-in theaters have the BEST concession stands.

Of course, most drive-ins are only open from late spring until early fall. But not ALL of them.

CHRISTMAS MOVIES AT A DRIVE-IN

The Sauerbeck Family Drive-In in LaGrange KY extends its hours of operation well beyond when most drive-ins close for the season. It's a relatively NEW theater, to boot. From the drive-in's website:

I also wondered what an outdoor viewing experience in late fall would FEEL like; I've been at the Holiday Drive-In in the middle of JULY and needed a coat when I got around to that second feature.

But so what. If you want to visit a drive-in theater in November, you know the deal. And besides, you can stay in the warm comfort of your vehicle or bundle up outside and drink hot chocolate or coffee.

I think it sounds like a lot of fun to enjoy holiday releases in the same way we enjoy summer releases, and the Sauerbeck Drive-In ensures there are plenty of Christmas movies to enjoy. In fact, every Wednesday in November they show holiday movies.

LOAD UP ON OUTDOOR CHRISTMAS MOVIES

That line-up for the remainder of November includes A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, Elf, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. And on November 25th, the Sauerbeck Drive-In will offer the Polar Express Experience.

I have friends who live in and around LaGrange, and this has proven to be a home run. But then again, any unique idea around the holidays is always welcome.
