Caught on Camera – What Elf on a Shelf Does When You’re Not Home [VIDEO]

This little dude apparently knows how to cut loose.

Like so many other families we have an Elf on a Shelf that hangs out at the house during the holidays. If you're not familiar with the Elf on the Shelf story, it goes a little something like this; the Elf is sent by Santa to keep an eye on the kids during the holidays to make sure they stay on the nice list. As the story goes, once everyone in the house is asleep, the Elf reports back to Santa with the days events. The idea being that if the kids don't stay in line, Santa may not be so gracious come Christmas morning.

In our house, the Elf is left alone for a good portion of the day and there's been a few instances where I've come home to find a few things out of place. So to figure out what goes on during the day, I set up hidden cameras around the house to catch some video and snap some pictures to what's going on when we're not there. The results were shocking.
