Breaking: Bomb Squad Dispatched for Suspicious Device Found in Downtown Evansville

According to Evansville Watch, the EPD & the Bomb Squad have been dispatched to Downtown Evansville after a suspicious device was located this afternoon. According to a Facebook Post from Evansville Watch, the device was found in a parking lot located at 3rd and Cherry Streets downtown. Evansville Police and Bomb Squad are responding. The streets within a one block radius have been shut down and EMS and Fire are on standby. The last update we heard, the device is in the back of a tan truck. It has been removed and is being assessed. We will keep you updated as we learn more.
