Angel’s Three Ingredient Homemade Orange Sherbet Recipe (VIDEO)

Bringing a family tradition from our home to yours.  Our family literally makes this for every single get together in the summer and we often freeze it and give it to our friends and neighbors.  Three Ingredient Orange Sherbet.

I love any type of homemade ice cream but orange sherbet is the best.  Here is a super easy recipe that takes literally 45 minutes from start to finish!

What you will need:

• 1 2 liter of Orange Soda (I use Sunkist or store brand either works)
• 1 Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk (any brand)
• 1 Can of Crush Pineapple
• Rock Salt
• Ice
• Ice Cream Maker

1. Open Ice Cream Drum and pour in entire 2 liter of Orange Soda
2. Add Sweetened Condensed Milk
3. Add Crushed Pineapple (optional)
4. Close Drum
5. Add ice to the outside of the drum
6. Sprinkle Rock Salt over ice
7. Start the machine and watch closely.
8. As the ice melts add ice and rock salt

It should take about 30 minutes when ice is added properly.  When finished scoop into bowls and enjoy!

If you aren't necessarily the patient person or you have kiddos that are wanting to make ice cream without all the fuss 5-minute bag ice cream is something you need to try.

When I was the Summer Day Camp Director for the Owensboro Parks & Recreation Department we always made it with the campers.  It was their favorite "science experiment" of the year.

Here's how to make it:

Ingredients

1/2 cup whole milk or half and half
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 Tbsp white sugar
6 Tbsp rock salt
1 pint or quart size zip style freezer bag
1-gallon size zip style freezer bag
ice

Instructions

Mix milk, vanilla, and sugar in a quart or pint size freezer bag and close tightly.
Fill a gallon size freezer bag with ice and add the rock salt.
Put the smaller bag inside the large bag and close.
Shake & turn the bag for about 15 minutes or until the ice cream thickens.
Hold the bag with a dish towel or paper towel while shaking. And don't be afraid to have a little dance party while you're shaking.
Remove the inner bag from the ice/rock salt, and scoop the ice cream into serving bowls and add the toppings of your choice!

This ice cream literally tastes like real homemade ice cream for the maker.
