As Yoda would say, "Fun for all it will be."

The Evansville Museum will host Kids and Grandparents Day from Noon - 4pm this Sunday at the Museum on Riverside Drive in downtown Evansville. Admission is free and despite the name, the event is not exclusive to grandparents and their grandchildren, mom's and dad's are more than welcome to join the fun.

Members of 501st Legion, a group of Star Wars enthusiasts, will be on hand in full costumes representing characters of both the fictional Rebel Alliance and the Empire. Expect to see Storm Troopers, Darth Vader, and everyone's favorite alien Bigfoot, Chewbacca during the event.

Also on hand will be members from The Children's Center for Dance Education performing scenes from their "Don Quixote" ballet, along with Evansville's own storytelling musical group, Tales and Scales performing parts from their upcoming program, "Mice!".

Visitors will also have the opportunity to get up close and personal with exotic animals from Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden, and Evie the Trash Dog from Keep Evansville Beautiful will be sniffing around picking up litter.

Other local groups taking part in the event include the Newburgh Academy of Dance, the University of Evansville Suzuki Strings, Bushido Path Martial Arts, the Hadi Shrine Funsters, members of local police and fire departments, and a dozen other organizations.

Sadly, there will be no actual lightsabers.
