For most people, the opportunity to jump inside Kenny Kent Chevrolet's Cash Grab Booth is a chance to pocket extra money they can use toward the purchase of a new vehicle from the dealership, or a nice dinner out depending on the amount they grab. For me, it was the chance to make a donation toward the fight against childhood cancer.

Our third annual St. Jude Radiothon will begin this Thursday at 6am during The Rob's Radio Show with Kat Mykals, ending at 7pm, then picking up again at 6am Friday morning. Once again this year, Kenny Kent Chevrolet is gracious enough to jump on board as a sponsor of our event as we look for you to join us as a Partner in Hope in the ongoing battle against childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

As in year's past, KISS-FM, along with our three in-house FM sister-stations, gathered together for a live broadcast at Kenny Kent the Saturday before the Radiothon for a chance to add to our donation total by taking turns inside their Cash Grab Booth; a 30 second whirlwind of not only grabbing, but holding onto, as much money as possible.

Not to toot my own horn so to speak, but I went into this year's booth as the reining cash grab champ among our stations, so not only was I looking for a sizable amount of money to donate to the cause, I also had a crown to defend. Let's see how I did.

As you heard, Kenny Kent Chevrolet graciously matched all our grabs to make the total donation that much more. When all was said and done, the four of us (myself, Sandman from 103GBF, Dave Westrich from 105.3 WJLT, and Baby Boy from 99.5 WKDQ) grabbed a total of $500 which Kenny Kent Chevrolet matched to make a cool $1,000!
