YouTube Sensation BLIPPI Brings His Live Stage Show to Evansville in 2022

This time last year (2019) I had no idea who, or what, a 'Blippi' was/is. I would have guessed it was some sort of kid's toy or maybe a slang word that teenagers were using. I never would have guessed that Blippi was a person - more specifically, a YouTube star who is ridiculously popular with little kids. How popular is Blippi? He has about 14 million YouTube subscribers and his videos have been viewed about 10 billion times. Yeah, he's that kind of popular.

I first learned about Blippi in March of 2020. Some friends of mine were throwing a birthday party for their sweet little girl, who happens to be a Blippi superfan. They were hoping Blippi could make a guest appearance at the party. What does this have to do with me? Well, they seemed to think that I kinda, sorta resemble Blippi. So, they ordered the official Blippi hat, glasses, bow tie, and suspenders, and I added a couple of pieces from my wardrobe and viola - I'm Blippi. The birthday girl LOVED it. She couldn't believe that Blippi actually came to HER birthday party. I gotta say it is one of the coolest things I've done in a long, long time. Here's a pic from the party. What do you think?

Blippi is Coming to Evansville!

Odds are if you are a parent or grandparent of a youngin, you already know about Blippi. But did you know that Blippi has a live stage show - Blippi the Musical? And did you know that show is coming to Evansville in 2022? Yep, it surely is. Here's what you need to know...

• When: Wednesday, February 23rd at 6pm
• Where: The Aiken Theatre at the Old National Events Plaza
• Tickets: on sale Friday, November 19th at 10am.
• About: Blippi The Musical brings the loveable character Blippi off the screen through world-class production, audience engagement, and amazing music. In the live show kids will continue to learn about the world around them while singing and dancing along with this one of a kind show.
